so i really have no idea what i’m doing, but i have been listening to a lot of music lately due to my internship at the weekly and my worryingly acute insomnia. while my mental state may be kinda like a tom hanks/meg ryan movie, i’m happy to collect some songs that i’ve recently acquired (almost 24 hours of [discriminately downloaded] new music in the last three days, yikes). it runs the gambit from ethiojazz to gems offa underground hip-hop blog mixtapes to sassy indie-electro pop hipsterish shit to dope people to betty davis. and some other shit too.
i made it a very intentional playlist but of course, i haven’t figured out the technology that would enable me to let you download it in that order. hell, i just uploaded my first zip file yesterday. these are sixteen songs that you want, though. enjoy please.

Name One Masterpiece of Cinema That I've Starred In by Meryl Streep →
an insightful reflection by meryl streep on her impact on modern cinema. a must read.
i’m expecting the show this saturday to be more or less just as crackin’ as this classic, hopefully sans the blatant predatorial shit. doesn’t even pharrell freak you out a little bit in this video?
this song soothed me through many weekday very early mornings. it’s charlie hunter featuring mos def, and it’s called “creole.”
